Robroy Enclosures 2018 SHIELD Scholarship
Robroy Enclosures, a subsidiary of Robroy Industries and a long-time supporter of the local Belding community, recently presented a high school graduate with the company's SHIELD Scholarship.
“During Robroy Industries' 2005 Centennial Celebration, we began the tradition of recognizing a student in the Belding graduating class,” stated Jeff Seagle, president, Robroy Enclosures. “Our associates look for individuals that have excelled in all areas of life, especially those who are driven to succeed and be of service and support to those around them, representing core values we employ every day.”
To apply for the scholarship, applicants write a short essay on a topical subject, typically related to safety and the well-being of fellow associates. It is then reviewed by associates at Robroy Enclosures. This year, they were asked to write on the dangers of “driving and texting.”
Trenton Collins, Robroy Enclosures 2018 SHIELD scholarship recipient, is pursuing a career in fisheries and wildlife management at Lake Superior State University. He played football and baseball his entire high school career and is captain of both team . As one of his supporters noted, “Those who have worked with Trenton have benefited from his passion to do the right thing, caring heart, and unmatched ability to influence others in a positive way.”
